Now Narcolepsy

Well, glad i can rule out catalepsy. Folks used be buried for that! Now a new neuropathy!

But paralysis, at ANY LEVEL can be quite frightening, however many times one sleeps on their arm and it 'falls asleep'.

Narcolepsy is a chronic neurological disorder caused by the brain's inability to regulate sleep-wake cycles normally.

A rare form of narcolepsy can develop as a result of damage to the hypothalamus from a brain injury. This is known as secondary narcolepsy. Secondary narcolepsy is a severe neurological condition that can lead to irregular sleep cycles as well as memory loss and mood disorders.

(I don't recall any 'injury', but i could easily include the memeoy and mood issues.)

The symptom is Sleep Paralysis. Half awake, (i.e. able to hear), physical numbness, unable to move, and occurs just before sleep, and/or while waking.
